Welcome to the Icarus Theatre Collective April 2011 Newsletter! Several months have passed since our last update so we have quite a lot to update you on.
Macbeth Tour
Spite, Specters, and Soothesayers… “Something wicked this way comes”. We’re thrilled to announce our upcoming tour of Macbeth, staged by Icarus Artistic Director Max Lewendel. The production, described by Max as “bloody, kinetic, and aggressive” will open this September at the Kings Theatre Portsmouth, prior to a tour throughout the UK and Ireland, with a possible stop in Malta! See our website for tour dates & locations, and see below for the casting notice. We already have nearly 100 performances booked and not all are on our website yet.
Hamlet Tour
Our “discordant and distinctly modern” (Gillian Carter, The Tribe), yet still traditional production of Hamlet is still on tour this spring, with dates in Worthing, Shrewsbury, Rhyl, Kircaldy, Poole, Oldham, Peterborough, and Croydon. Click here for details, reviews, and audience feedback.
Desk Space for Hire
Are you a freelancer or small business looking for a central base? Icarus has desk space to hire within our open-plan office minutes from Oxford Circus, Regents Park, Warren Street, and Great Portland Street stations.
£225-£295 per month, per desk

Education workshops
Are you an educator looking for a curriculum enrichment activity for your students? We offer tailor-made workshops for primary and secondary school students and colleges in conjunction with our productions, covering aspects of Shakespearean character and performance that will engage your students and deepen their appreciation of these classic plays.
