We are now ready to launch and announce the change!

Reports from Romania

We've won!

When The Lesson was in Romania we were reviewed, received four stars twice and five stars thrice, and won two major awards from a national Judges panel!

We've also been officially invited to return in October by Teatrul Imposibil. They are in the process of securing funding for us.

We hope this theatre's enthusiasm and these awards will help us secure a small tour throughout Romania.

The Time of Your Life

Two shows are coming up this autumn. After Moonfleece at the Old Red Lion Theatre we are producing The Time of Your Life at the Finborough Theatre.

The Time of Your Life

First Revival of Pulitzer Prize winning American/Armenian play since the Royal Shakespeare Company in 1983.

While open-hearted, open-handed Joe sets up his flunky, Tom, to woo the angelic Kitty Duvall (internationally renowned burlesque dancer or two-dollar whore), he also helps a would-be dancer to fulfill his lifelong dream. We meet a lovelorn young man searching for love at the end of a telephone, a longshoreman with the soul of a poet, slumming society swells, and a boozy old coot muttering in the corner about the abyss the world may fall into at any moment…

A rich tapestry of human life, peopled by a profusion of wistful dreamers, pining lonely hearts, and beer-hall-philosophers.

Something's wrong in the state of Bethnal Green...

Moonfleece is an intense and thrilling exploration of memory and identity. It also deals with themes of contemporary resonance: racism, homophobia, and how those in authority distort both the truth and the past.

We are looking for a mixed ethnicity cast, caucasian, British Asian, etc with a playing age 14 - 20.
